Greg Mack Poster Project and Reflection

1) I strongly agree with my view point. The wealth disparity in America is probably the biggest threat to our future. The fonts are supposed to represent the different words they are. All the colors are supposed to represent different classes of society. Each one becomes more and more grand as they progress.
2) The transition form my sketches to my poster was a complete failure. My final project is totally different from what I intended. However this is not a bad thing. My final project is much better and much more symbolic than my original ideas.
3) The background color and color of my pillars changed from my first to final project. So did the text. All of these changed to further show the ideas of wealth disparity.
4) I think my strongest category is my design. All the choices I made in this project were very thought out and calculated.
5) The most challenging process was the design also. It took thinking and a lot of your counceling to come up with meaningful symbols.
5) The skills and techniques was the hardest part for me. This is because I am really wack with these programs.

The United States of America's Military Budget

The federal budget for the United States military in 2015 was 598.5 billion dollars. This makes up 54% of the US spending's last year. It is honestly asinine that our country continues to spend its money on our military when it is almost indisputably the most powerful in the world. We more o our military than the top 20 closest nations combined. Things such as social security, food and agriculture, education, science, and medical and health care combine to only 19%. This is a travesty.  If just half of the military expenditure was put into other American systems, we could solve most of the problems our nation faces today. We have more than enough money to send everyone to college for free. And we have more than enough money to ensure that no one is starving. It is only a matter of electing smart people who know what our nations true priorities are.

1) My concept is that of tranquility. As the eyes and mouth become less demonic they become more and more peaceful. I arrived to this theme by looking through old pictures of mine and seeing that I usually have a stern face. I know that I am actually quite the tranquil individual and I choose to show this through my gif.
3) Photoshop helped my idea progress because their are plenty of tools that allow the idea to be progressed extensively. The layers allow for very complex concepts to develop. Also time itself allowed my idea to blossom into what it is today. Sometimes, only time will allow an idea to become fully developed.

Lazer Catz

1) My concept is lazer cats. I really enjoy cats and space and this was a perfect mixture of the two. Lasers are heavily associated with space due to various sci-fy movies.

3) I am very happy with my results.

5) I first used the select tools to isolate the desired images of my cats. Then I used the image adjuster to change the size of my cats. I tried to use the layer mask but it did not really pan out the way I thought. I also selected some lasers to add to the eyes of my cats.
